The Food Experience

The Food Experience
was a full week of foodie fun!

Resident Cookie Recipe Contest
Wednesday March 13, 12:00 –DR

We asked residents to submit their favorite cookie recipes for our Chef, Peter, to bake for them. The best recipe was chosen  by the management team and was baked and served as the Dinner dessert on March 13th. Our winning cookie, "Guess Again," was submitted by Julius S. He had a chance to invite 5 guests to enjoy his winning cookie at dinner on Friday. Also, the cookies were flown down to Long Beach to compete in a cookie contest. Unfortunately we did not win, but we will get them next time!

Let Chef Peter Show You
Thursday March 14, 1:30 –AR

Residents came to watch Chef Peter create "The Perfect Crepe." Chef Peter shared with the audience the ingredients and amounts to mix, then taught them the best way to spread the mixture onto the pan. Next up, the spectacular flip! After amazing us with his flipping skills, Chef Peter asked some residents to come up to see how easy it really is. Daphne got it on the second try!

Showing the difference between purchased & homemade

Daphne has got "the flip" down!

Residents submitted their favorite entrée recipes for Chef Peter to prepare. The management team selected their favorite recipe; "1-2-3 Easy Meatloaf" from the kitchen of Ruth P. Chef Peter then prepared Ruth's dish and she got to enjoy it with her family. And the everyoen in the dining room enjoyed the special meal too!

we will be entering them again, for the next

Cache Creek Casino Trip

Our Cache Creek Casino Trip was a Blast!
On the way up we had trivia questions. Then we stopped in Vacaville for a bathroom/jelly bean factory break. Its was suppose to be a quick stop but we gladly got stuck behind a little train.

Finally there,

let the games begin!

And show me to the buffet!

After, our bellies were full
and our pockets were empty.
It was time to cash out and head home.

Most of our group didn't have the best of luck,
but we still left with a smile on our faces.

We can't wait until we have our next trip!
